To settle the 'who is the biggest sucker' debate once and for all, ladies and gentlemen, I draw your attention to the prices here .. Carbon is only US$45,500 ex-showroom (before taxes and insurance)
And we have a winner! All other please ..

Seriously, $45K that is theft.

In jakarta. I was told that 2013 base model is priced at usd 47.200.
Man, I can't not agree with 777 on the vast difference in pricing that its somewhat of a slap in the face because to may in the Asia Pacific region the difference in price just feels like day light robbery but then again we love the bike and just have to suck it up to cough out what the local dealers are willing to offload em for.

I've been giving some thought to Coop's rationale in relation to average disposable income but i reckon its still a doesn't sit well with me because based on bulk orders for dealers taking into account shipping and the low euro rates, the justification just doesn't add up but i hope for Wahoo's sake the 2012 models do come down in Oz and technically for the rest of us in the region but if it doest its gonna be major SUCK cos i just bought my Diavel two days ago.

I tell you what though out of all the Asian Pacific and Oceanic region, HK, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei have it a lil worse off than Australia in pricing but we still end up buying these damn sexy bikes. Trust me and take it from a fellow Aussie living in Brunei now.

Just when you think bike prices were bad, brace yourself for car prices because i'm still bitter about paying USD165k for a C63 AMG when the rest of the world in the other region are enjoying it for hell of a lot less (including Oz), sure majority of vehicle production are LHDs hence why rationale would be cheaper as opposed to RHDs in general. That being said i could accept 15% to 20% more but what majority of people are charge in the Oceanic and Asia Pacific region is just outright rude and disgusting so lets leave it at that and not venture off topic as i've already done that. - Sorry - haha

In Brunei these are the best prices:
  • Diavel Standard- USD39,800 (OTR)
  • Diavel Dark- USD43,500 (OTR)
  • Diavel Carbon- USD48,990 (OTR) <--- I really wanted that but couldn't justify USD10 diff on carbon bits when i've bought all my goodies for USD4k.
  • Monster 696- USD24,300 (OTR)
  • Monster 796- USD29,000 (OTR)
  • Monster 1100 EVO- USD33,300 (OTR)
  • Monster Diesel- USD37,800 (OTR) <--- biggest joke ever when you compare the difference in price to a standard Diavel.
  • 1199 Panigale- USD51,000 (OTR)
  • 848 Evo- USD47,000 (OTR)
Well, no need to stress because we just have to put up with whatever to enjoy our bikes and most of all the blessings for us to be able to indulge a little in the finer things in life. Take it easy fellas.

After seeing Brunei and New Delhi prices I am starting to think that we, Brazilians, are really lucky... "Just" 32k USD for an Carbon Red...
